EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
When two retired Dutch Men met at a friend’s dinner party in 2012, they had little idea of the importance of their meeting. Over the ensuing months Cor Boon and Henry Noestheden learned of each other’s business and creative experience and having been highly successful and creative throughout their careers neither man was enamoured with the concept of remaining retired.
With their Dutch background, acculturation and experience the two men were well prepared for the demanding tasks that starting a new business would require. Developing their vision of a unique business the two men brought their full focus to the design and production of a new line of hand-made chocolate confections and truffles. Their focus would be to create beauty through the medium of high quality chocolate.
Cor, a talented and award winning carver prepared dozens of wood patterns that would become the designs for chocolate molds. Henry, a creative and professional sculptor and fabrication specialist brought his experience in mold making to cast the wood patterns into a collection of silicone molds and a proprietary mold registration systems. The two men designed and built several Orbital Rotation Systems to rotate the chocolate molds during tempering cycles.

Obvious is the very clean and uncluttered store and the large glass display cases showing dozens of chocolate creations.
